uhhhhhhhhhh they KIND OF are based off what i read (half of one time) a big issue with ssds being unreliable was literally just companies not patching their firmware and such or just poorly constructed ones bought dirt cheap for companies
i think NOW ssds are really really reliable and not prone to failure? i mean just speaking from personal experience i dont know anybody who has had an ssd just...stop working naturally (as in like, left it unplugged then plugged it back in and it didn't work anymore)
i guess at the end of the day an hdd is OBJECTIVELY safer which is a true fact but there's cost and convenience that makes ssds better in my opinion even if they have a slight risk factor

one thing i was disappointed by is how sparing they were with the music the soundtrack was so good but you barely ever get to hear it

yup its a big shame because i think the arc right after the eclipse is one of the best arcs, lots of good stuff after it too

also there's some interesting stuff the anime cut around the eclipse
like in the manga there's a brief encounter in the woods with some rape apes which just feel so stupid and out of place given the circumstances so cutting it feels fine
there's also a chapter where griffith talks with...something??? its unclear but while he's turning into femto he talks with something about the nature of evil and the world and that part was not only cut from the anime but it got cut from the volume releases, because miura thought it was out of place, bad, and revealed way too much shit
